Bakelit is involved with multiple projects both on an international and local level. As a member of the Trans Europe Halles, it has a broad international network of cultural centres. By taking part in the European Union funded project Be SpectACTive!, Bakelit is searching for innovative ways to trigger audience participation.
“Without diploma” which has been organised since 2008 by Bakelit and was later expanded to The Talent is art tender which offers self-educated artists a laureate platform.
Each year in December, Bakelit organises the one week long Hungarian Contemporary Dance Festival at the studio Dock11 in Berlin, Germany.
Since 2005, Bakelit has been hosting the L1danceFest , an international contemporary dance festival organised once a year by the L1 Association for contemporary dance.
With Visegrad Karma and VIP100, Bakelit created two travelling exhibitions made up of posters from the 4 Visegrad countries (Poland, Hungary, Czech Republic and Slovakia) with the aim to explore those countries’ shared history. The exhibitions were supported by the Visegrad Fund and showcased in several cultural institutions throughout the Visegrad countries.
