Andrea Mészöly started working in dance during the Secondary School of Fine and Applied Arts. He later studied at the Budapest Dance School and then in Amsterdam as a Fellow of the School for New Dance Development. In 1993, she began her dance theater career as a founding member of the DekaDance company. In 2011, she joined the ArtMan Movement Therapy Public Benefit Association and produced her first piece with mixed-ability performers. In 2015, she graduated from the Faculty of Special Education of Gusztáv Bárczi, Eötvös Loránd University, majoring in somatopedagogy. Her defining movement background is contemporary dance and improvisation, as well as the Body-Mind Centering® body awareness method. In addition to creative work, as an art teacher, the Artman Association leads inclusive groups, “It Hurts! One Day FUNDAY ”and in the Artmenők Art Program.
