Vincenta Gurauskaité (LT) “Trap x Fly”
Concept/performer: Vincenta Gurauskaité (LT)
Supported by Bakelit Multi Art Center, NKA IZP
Special thanks to Márta Ladjánszki for the invitation and consultation.
She felt grounded. Full of passion to make it beautiful. To grow, blossom and nourish herself. Her soil was poor, but she attracted everyone to stay alive. Yet the fly was already full of life, used to wander around bright flowers, looking for a sweet nectar to make his day fulfilled. But suddenly, great suffer occurs. The wings got stuck and movement slowed down. He’s trapped. By gorgeous, shiny plant. Paradox. He was fooled by venus charm. Instead of fulfillment, she steals his life. For her own good, for her selfish growth. He is trying to escape, to resist her power, but it’s pointless. He is now here, a part of her. He gives her all his substances to let her blossom again. This performance is dual. Hunter and prey shows up time by time on one dancer’s body.
