CREATIVE RESIDENCIES -  Choose a space to create!

Bakelit Multi Art Center provides infrastructure for international cultural projects by supplying creative individuals with diverse, inspiring spaces and opportunities to learn, create and perform.

The residency program is open to artists from various fields of art and open for new conceptions and connections. Both, individual and group applications are welcome and there are no restrictions concerning the genre.

We provide creative space for rehearsals, workshops and performances with technical support and professional staff as well as an atelier.  In addition to a minimum 10 day long residency, we offer space for any work in progress presentation for free with technical assistance. The program includes other services, which help artists work in a comfortable and trouble-free environment.

Duration: min. 7, max. 21 days in the period February – June / August - November

3 different sized spaces are available for the artists in residence: 

• L1 (140m²) - flexible wooden floor

• Studio (120m²) - suitable for presentations and their preparation

• Rooftop Studio (49m²)

Expenses paid by the artist or covered by grants initiated by artist with support of the hosting institution:  

• Accommodation in Factory Hostel next door

• Transportation of material and travel costs

• Rehearsal space rental fees

Application should include:

• The applicant’s professional CV + portfolio/ presentation of work and number of participants
• Description of the project (in min. 2000 characters), which to be developed during the creative residency
• Technical requirements if applicable
• Planned duration of the residency
