The rhythm of the show feels like living through the pages of an odd book. It’s a three-dimensional anthology of Hungarian contemporary poetry. As it unfolds, a sheaf of various props, moods, and poems tumble out. The characters have more and more images in tow as they reorganize the poems and pages while rearranging the space. The performance is based on pieces from contemporary spoken word artists, using dance and video art in collaboration with RencontresAudiovisuelles of France and the VJ Viktória Sóos enriching the show with video mapping. This performance is about the human condition, about ourselves and our relationships. In collaborative partnership different art forms paint one piece of the multicolored mosaic at a time, effecting a kaleidoscopic image before our eyes. The plot is driven by alternating poetry, video, dance and music, leading our attention and adding new depths to feelings, amounting to a momentarily conceived presence of contemporary art.
The PR-Evolution Dance Company was formed in 2003. Attila Kun, who is known as one of the most talented artists in the hungarian contemporary dance scene formed the company after he came back to Hungary. Formerly he was a dancer in the Rambert Dance Company which is well-known all over the world. The PR-Evolution has no permanent performers, it invites different dancers for each project. Zsofia Nemes took the direction of the company in 2008. Since then she has invited new performers and in recent years the company has developed to one of the most productive ensembles in the hungarian dance world. Their aim is to find new ways of expression, raise the popularity of contemporary dance. The beauty of dance, the expressions of the movements, the human bodies show us moods, feelings and pictures that are present in our everyday life.
