How nowadays an individual can feel lost in the constant oversupply of offers and ideas what is right for a healthy and happy life. The piece underlines the idea of the food and diet captivating too much place in our present society.

Does the diet define how acceptable a person is in society’s eye?
Can society determine the frames of the dutiful and desirable human?

The piece researches also the water-thin-line between diets and eating disorders. It tries to find answers why eating disorders are less acceptable sicknesses in the society than other disease of affluence, even though both are the products of this modern lifestyle.
Through biographical and individual stories the piece gives an insight into these questions in both a personal and bigger scale.

ABOUT THE COLLECTIVE
Outi and Virva is a freshly built collective between two long term colleagues. It brings together two strong dance professionals from various backgrounds. The goal of the collective is to research accurate topics through contemporary dance and work in collaboration with other artists and art fields. It explores themes in both individual and global scale, bringing them in a new and fresh way to the stage.
