… from here I rely on free association, as the graphics (photos) of the L1-eve(s) a’la IZP portrait series dissolve into spaces, stories, demanding an aura with their perceived and real qualities.
They are looking for intimate eye contact, giving a glimpse of what can no longer be fixed with technology, it is only imaginable.
 They let me play…

Copia is a one-piece book object that will join L1danceFest 2021 – 20 years as a traveling exhibition.

The performance video tries to visualise the elusive essence of existence with minimal use of tools, a clear presence of movement, the use of space of the body, and its possible immobility.
I think of each frozen movement moment as works of fine art, when I get stuck in the movements, the human presence, the symbolic simple devices, the moderation of the tempo and I entrust the overall aesthetic effect to their interaction.
The sounds that accompany the performance are occasional melodies, combining the relative dynamism between the micro movements of the cataton and the frozen movements.

The only walkable way to Immortality is to DIE IN AT ANY MOMENT. The intolerance of the moment intersects the constancy of the horizon.

The moment must have an arc, detours, height and depth, because that is the only way to weigh long minutes and hours.

The moment is existence itself, the narrower, miserable, the more bizarre the existence, the moment, the more intense.
It is not the “time” of the moment and its realistically assumed significance, but “how” the moment is important.

Moments that were officially thought to be irrelevant give me intimacy.

The softness of the movement is strength.

Minimalism is concentration.

The “word” is black or white.

In every moment, I imagine the moments when I will no longer be, this is my self-confrontation, this is the origo.

Ádám Ellenbacher (H) Through the Position

Supported by L1 Association, EMMI

There are photographs which are made with a long exposure time, so take many pictures at the same time. This is the effect the drawings would show. The series began by visiting dance rehearsals and performances. As the artist shows the same choreography one after another, I observe the accordances and the differences. The dancer plays with the space, so I do in my artwork. The layered persons make notes to the rolling motions. In the pictures I record dance moves, which make unity. The motions shown together, which could mean a map of choreography. I wish to observe the combination of dancing and graphics.

The series contains 4 pictures and it is still expanding. The artworks are created through cooperation with the L1 Association.
