Artist residency program and its closing EXHIBITION which aim is to empower female artists and to promote their visibility and representation.

Women Power in Comics (WOMCOM) brings together partners from Croatia, Greece, Hungary, Montenegro, Serbia, and Slovenia with the aim to empower female artists and to promote their visibility and representation. In addition to this, the project will call attention to the image of women in comics.

As a Hungarian partner Bakelit Multi Art Center takes part in the cooperation and the program invited 12 chosen artists (applicants) to spend 2 weeks at Zánka in the mentorship by Márton Hegedűs and Eszter Szép. As a closing act the artists will exhibit their works and later on the other partners’ exhibitions as well.
